Jet Trails #5

The top is finished and now it's time to do some quilting.

The backing has been pinned and rolled onto the frame, and the top is being pinned on.

I'm trying wool batting for the first time and had no problems handling it on the frame.

Instead of pinning the top, I like to let it float on the backing and then baste the top edge.

Quilting "straight" lines, particularly on the diagonal, is a real challenge with the long-arm machine.

The quilting is done, and the facing and sleeve will be next.
