Outdoor flowers
This is lilac week in the area.
A 20-year-old (at least!) bush variety favors the middle of the lawn between our house and the barn.
Several clumps of tulips grace our property. These planted under the young marine locust trees have survived the browsing deer herds which have decimated other areas.
Our fish survived the winter. If you left click on the picture, you can see several of them, along with the slate slab which provides the waterfall from the upper smaller pond. This pleasing sound and view is off the deck just outside one of the back doors of our house. The cobblestone floor of the pond is built up over a rubber lining and adds difficulty to cleaning the rocks, but provides a nice natural touch we very much enjoy!
