Sewing with Nancy

Nancy visited the studio for a sewing day and finished up this quilt for her granddaughter who will be starting college in the fall.

The center of the quilt was put together by Janet Root.

Suki's contribution to the day's work was to keep us company while keeping the sewing basket warm!

The Peeps gathered for their regular monthly meeting.

New work went up on the walls and everyone gathered around to review it.

Suki can always be found in the middle of the activities, preferably in a nice, soft spot.

Bev was putting the finishing touches on a new quilt for one of her daughters.

Anne modeled new earrings that she made herself -- and that we all wanted!

Winter Weather

The temperatures in the 30's and the bare trees reminded us that it was still January.

But if we could have more days like this with sunshine and blue skies, we would be much happier campers!!

Downton Abbey High Society Tea

I attended a lovely tea in preparation for tonight's season 4 premiere of Downton Abbey.

It was a fun afternoon at the Palmyra Library, and thanks go to Muffy, Betsy, and Sheila for hosting us, and to Joan for inviting me!

We were treated to seeing episodes from last season and participated in a trivia contest. Joan won the first prize and will enjoy High Tea at Hicks & McCarthy Restaurant.

Diane and Sandy dressed up appropriately for the event and looked great.

We enjoyed cream cheese and cucumber finger sandwiches, iced ginger cookies with lavender, three kinds of scones, and choices of teas. Yum!
