QAQ

The Schweinfurth Art Center is hosting its 35th annual Quilts=Art=Quilts exhibit now through January 3, 2016, in Auburn, NY. Over 70 art quilts are on display.

Betsy Lewis went with me to see the exhibit, and we joined the audience waiting for the trunk show by Judy Kirpich, one of the exhibiting artists.

Judy brought several of her wonderful quilts and did a terrific job of explaining her inspirations and her process.

Her quilts are totally pieced; nothing is fused or appliqued.

Judy is recently retired and is building a large studio for her work.

Here is Judy with some of my favorite pieces. The quilt in the lower left was in Quilt National.
